Images that Inspire Me

The first image that inspires me is the painting the Girl with a Pearl Earring. Looking at this painting makes me want to have art as good as this one day. I have loved the elusive and mysterious vibe of this piece for years. The simplistic subject makes you wonder what the backstory is.

I chose to show a library because I love reading. This image in particular gives a safe and cozy feeling, similar to the feeling when I get when reading. I also really like the aesthetic of this picture.

This image reminds me of my childhood, where whenever me and my family got bored, we would just pull out a board game. Growing up without much internet and in the middle of nowhere, board games and video games were all us kids wanted to do. I have fond memories of those games with my family.

This scene from Beauty and the Beast in general inspires me in so many ways. The art of the winter snow, the connection beginning to form between the two characters, and the song playing during the scene all inspire me. I liked this scene so much that I tried making it into a comic for a school project, but I made one comic drawing and promptly stopped LOL.

The Vogue and old Hollywood aesthetic is among my favorites, and this specific image has been on my radar for a while. The blocky art-style, and the theme of beauty captivate me every time I look at it. I've been meaning to paint this for myself for a while, but haven't gotten to it yet.
